RightLawIndia is an independent online directory of verified advocates in India. We help people find a lawyer who actually handles their kind of case — searchable by city, practice area, court and language — and we back every listing with a Bar Council verification check before it goes live.
Why we built RightLawIndia
Finding the right lawyer in India is harder than it should be. Most people rely on word of mouth, random search results or whoever advertises the loudest — with little way to know whether an advocate actually practises in the right court, has real experience in the relevant area of law, or is even currently enrolled with a Bar Council. We built RightLawIndia to replace guesswork with clear, verified information, so you can approach the right advocate with confidence.
What we do
RightLawIndia brings advocates and the people who need them onto a single, transparent platform. On RightLawIndia you can:
- Search the directory by advocate name, specialisation, city or court.
- Compare advocates side by side — experience, courts of practice, languages, client ratings and consultation fees.
- Request a free first call to describe your matter before you commit to anything.
- Read plain-language legal guides that explain your rights and the law in everyday terms.
What makes us different
- Every profile checked. We verify an advocate’s Bar Council registration before their listing goes live.
- No paid placement. Rankings follow client ratings and experience — never advertising spend. Advocates cannot buy their way to the top.
- Free first call. Describe your matter and get an initial call back at no cost, with no obligation to proceed.
Understanding India’s new criminal laws
India’s criminal justice framework has changed. The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) have replaced the Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Indian Evidence Act. Our legal guides map the old IPC sections to their new BNS equivalents and explain, in plain language, what the changes mean for ordinary people — so you are not left decoding legal jargon on your own.
Where we operate
We are starting in the Delhi NCR region — Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida — across 21 practice areas including criminal, bail, family, divorce, property, RERA, consumer, cheque bounce, corporate, cyber crime, GST and more. Our goal is to expand verified coverage across all 28+ states and union territories of India, one city at a time.
Our commitment to you
RightLawIndia is a directory and information platform — not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice and we do not represent you in any matter. What we do is help you find and reach the right advocate; the decision of whom to engage is always entirely yours. We take the accuracy of our listings and the clarity of our guides seriously, and we are committed to keeping the platform transparent, independent and genuinely useful.
Are you an advocate?
If you are an advocate enrolled with a State Bar Council recognised by the Bar Council of India, you can apply to be listed on RightLawIndia. A listing is designed to give you a verified, professional presence and to connect you with clients who are actively looking for your area of expertise. Visit Register as a Lawyer to get started.
